The Directors of the Military Sea Services Museum have created a “Memory Walk” in front of the Museum located at the intersection of Roseland Avenue and Kenilworth Blvd. in Sebring.
The Walk is made of bricks; each one engraved with the name and identifying information about the honoree. Those honored include persons who have served in all branches of the military, dependents of those who served, civilian employees of the military, Veterans' organizations, deceased family members, and businesses. Those currently honored include a Medal of Honor recipient, the beloved wife of a retired U.S. Navy officer, a civilian employee of the U.S. Army, an automotive network, Veterans' organizations, and numerous brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, children, and grandchildren. All persons, organizations, and businesses may be honored as they, or their family, organization, or business members choose.
The bricks can be engraved with three lines of twelve characters on each line. At this time, there are over one hundred engraved bricks installed in the Walk. There is room for hundreds more.
The cost of each brick is $50.00, engraved and installed. To purchase a brick, complete the “Memory Walk” application and mail with a check to the Museum.
